HOA Picnic

This year I took the kids to our HOA’s annual picnic. With Taylor’s new schedule, he now has to work every Saturday so he couldn’t make it. Although, don’t feel too sorry for him. He had a BBQ at work that day as well.

We sat down to eat as soon as we arrived. It was nice. There wasn’t any lines which made it easier dishing up 4 plates. They had the usual hamburgers, hotdogs, chili, potato salad, a couple different drinks, and even cake. The best part was everything was free!

They had this nice lady to do face painting. Although, Peyton didn’t get it on her face, but on her arm.

Yep, she loved it!

There were 4 large bouncy castles to play in.

Even a man who could make balloon animals. Ashton got this spider thing.

Peyton got a ballerina. I just didn’t know it was going to be a busty ballerina.

Kipton got an airplane. He was napping when I took these photos. After Little League opening day ceremonies and then this picnic and without Taylor to help I was pretty exhausted and so was he.

Little League

It’s Spring which means it’s time for Little League! We did t-ball last year with a different organization and decided to this one. Little League is a huge organization that started in 1938. It’s been in Arizona for over 60 years and as of 1998 Little league had expanded to 95 countries.

We were fortunate enough to have another mom on the team willing to take individual and team photos one night during practice. We could have went through the league, but the prices are just getting to be too expensive.

I think the photos came out very well and you can’t beat the price…FREE!

Little League has opening day ceremonies where all the teams in a division get together. All the parents are in the bleachers and we get to watch all the teams walk out on the track holding up their team banner. Ashton just so happens to be holding the their banner with one of the coaches.

Their first game is tomorrow so I will blog those in time. They play for 8 weeks, 2 nights a week, plus 1 night of practice.

Bunking Up

 

I’ve gone back and forth and whether or not it was the right time for Ashton and Peyton to share a room. We’ve tried in the past, but it just never worked out well. They would play all night and then would wake each other up in the morning. Anyway, I was getting tired of the toys being strewn from one room to the next. We eliminated the toys downstairs in the living room now that Kipton can go up and down the stairs unassisted. So one day last week Taylor and I decided to try it again and we are so glad we did. They love it. They have always been close, but now they seem inseparable. We also combined all their toys and tried to organize as best as we could. They have a very large bedroom which helps.

 

Its called the play room as you can see why. Every night before bed the 3 of them help out and pick every toy up. It’s nice that the room is staying clean and it teaches them important lessons.

We took the doors off the closet and put their dresser in there. The hanging shelf in their holds all their dress up clothes. Mostly Peyton’s. We are working on getting more for the boys.

We are also teaching them to make their beds every morning too.

Ashton and Peyton have been doing really well sharing a room. When it’s bedtime they both lie down and go to sleep. Every now and then they try and sneak around, but get caught and quickly get back in bed. They do wake each other up in the morning, but stay pretty quiet so I don’t mind.

 

Why can’t this little boy stay my baby. It wont be long and he will be on the top bunk giving me a heart attack.

But with a face like that I can’t ever be upset with him

Just added this tonight! I’ve been searching for anything Spiderman to use for Ashton’s birthday party coming up and someone gave me this giant wall poster. He told me it was originally hanging in blockbuster when the movie was released. How cool is that? Ashton and even Peyton love it. I wonder if it would scare them in the night and Ashton said Spiderman would scare the monsters.
