On Friday we went to the Phoenix Zoo. Our library offers “Culture Passes” to many museums and attractions. If your lucky enough to snag one (I’ve been trying for a couple months) they offer 2 free admissions. Taylor and I were free, Peyton and Kipton were free being 2 and under (barely for Peyton) and then we paid $9 for Ashton. Not bad for a family of 5!
The library is doing this program year around so next time I am hoping to get tickets for The Children's Museum, The Science Center, or The Museum of Natural History.
We got to see little turtles and then these big turtles. It’s so neat that there are so many different types of turtles.
They had some pretty big iguanas.
I love these pictures!
I overheard a worker saying the male baboon was being groomed by 1 of the 5 female baboons.
Peyton was starting to pout over something I can’t remember, but boy is she good putting on the, “I’m not happy” look.
Along the path are many trees and I looked up and saw this. Thought it was cute!
The Golden Eagle looks pretty tough
There is just something beautiful in the prickly pear cactus.
Our family photo. Probably should have taken it before we started. We got to the zoo at 7:30 in the morning and this was taken about 10am. Not many people go to the zoo in the summer so we actually got to walk around the whole zoo with no crowds. However it was really hot. Every drinking fountain we would fill the water bottle up and pour it on ourselves and then drink a bunch too.
Needless to say we were all pretty tired and grumpy by the time we took this.
