On Sunday night we carved pumpkins and this was the first time we have ever done this as a family. I wondered how Ashton and Peyton would do. Would they be too grossed out to touch the insides or would they dive right in?
Peyton started off cautious. Pulling out one seed at a time.
Ashton was the same way. He was always my clean toddler so I thought he would have the hardest time, but he didn’t complain.
Daddy – the PRO! Dives right in grabbing handfuls. Someone had to show the kids because I sure wasn’t going too. Someone had to take the pictures
Dad is a good teacher. Both Ashton and Peyton started grabbing handfuls and always wanted to show off just how much they grabbed each time.
While I was waiting for them to finish cleaning out their pumpkins I drew on a piece of paper many different eyes, noses, and mouth ideas and then let the kids pick and choose how they wanted their pumpkin to look.
I thought it was pretty obvious as to whose pumpkin each one belonged too. Can you figure it out?
Ashton picked the scary one or the bat is what Ashton called it. He liked it cause it had fangs. Peyton picked a very happy jack-o-lantern!
Last, but not least here is Taylor’s pumpkin. Scary and yet happy at the same time.
Halloween/costumes pictures to come later!
