DeWitt Stables 2012

This is our second year going to Dewitt Stables.

You can see last years blog post Here.

Same as last year we purchased a Groupon. This year was an even better deal for us. They offered a $12 family pack which included all of us and the grandparents so we asked Grandpa Mike and Cindy to come. Groupon also gave me $5 off so we only paid $7 for all us to go!

Our admission included a hay maze, horse rides, tractor ride, hay ride to the pumpkin patch and the petting zoo which wasn’t very great this year. There were also games and a bouncy castle.

Last year the hay maze wasn’t very fun for Ashton and Peyton, but this year they really liked it. Kipton even liked it. He was even leading the pack for awhile until he found a dead end.

After they all got turned around, Ashton was in the lead and they left Kipton behind, but after they found the exit they went back for him. Kipton even found the entrance again, but didn’t leave. He kept on looking for the other way out.

They were all really excited to ride the horses!

We even let Kipton ride this time. It was his first time on a horse. We made sure he got the smallest one. Taylor walked with him and said he did really well. He just kept staring at the horse.

This year they required an adult to walk with the horse. Mike walked with Ashton and Cindy walked with Peyton

The tractor ride isn’t exactly pulled with a tractor, but still fun. The cut open 55 gallon drums and placed a padded mat inside for the kids to sit on and then pulled them around.

This was Kipton’s first time going on. He was willing to try, but I think he was a little nervous.

Waiting for the Hay Ride to come!

First stop on the hayride was the petting zoo which turned out to be a big disappointment. There was a lot of kids in there and not a big variety of animals. They had a lot of chickens, a turkey, even a peacock, but you can’t pet those. They had a baby pig in a very small open cage and the ponies and goats you could only look at.

The Pumpkin Patch!

This is where we hung out for awhile. I was waiting for the sun to go down a little so the area was shaded so I could get some better pictures of the kids without the kids squinting or glare.

We all had a great time. It was even in the 70’s. The weather couldn’t have been better. We made some more great memories and the kids always look forward to going!

Great pictures! I wish our pumpkin patches had horse rides. I like the hay maze better than our corn mazes, that way the kids can go by themselves and you can still see them. We have those barrel trains here too. The patch we went to last year painted the barrels like cows and called it a cow train. Jacoby still talks about it!

You got some AMAZING picture. Like those are good enough to use for your christmas cards :-) My favorite one is the one of Taylor and Payton together. So, so sweet. Love you guys, looks like your kiddos had a great time :-)
