Ashton’s New Look

0311

JC Penny was offering free hair cuts for kids K-6th grade for the month of August and we decided to take advantage of it. It was Ashton’s first time going to an actual salon and he was a little nervous. They asked if I wanted to update his look and I said sure! He now looks like a cute stud and he loves having is hair a little spiky.

Flint Baby #4

Yesterday we found out that we are having another girl! We couldn’t be happier. We feel so blessed to have two boys and two girls.

I am 18 weeks and baby was measuring on track and weighing 8 oz.

They did say I have marginal previa and it should get better with time as the uterus gets bigger, but for now I am on restrictions : (

I have another ultrasound in 2 weeks and again in 6 weeks.

Grandma & Grandpa Guthrie’s Visit

We are so proud of Marianne and Phil Guthrie for completing their two year mission for our Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. They have endured great sacrifices, but also have received great knowledge and blessings. We are even more grateful that they are done and will soon be moving back to Arizona. We had a great time visiting with them and made some fun memories. I really enjoyed taking pictures and videos. These are moments I want to cherish and know my kids will too.

This was actually taken the first day we saw them. Ashton and Peyton remembered Grandma and Grandpa after two years and missed them a lot.

Pictures with Grandma. However Grandpa was singing and Grandma couldn’t seem to take her eyes off of him even for a picture. At least she smiled for the camera : )

Peyton Turns 4

Peyton turned 4 on August 4th. She has been requesting a Barbie party for quite some time now and I am happy to say we delivered.
Unfortunately I was so busy I didn’t get to take any pictures of the games/activities. Next year I think I will assign someone to do that for me. Taylor and I were both running games and it just wasn’t possible to do both. I will tell you a little bit about them. When the kids arrived we had a Barbie station all setup where the girls could sit down and start playing with Barbie's. Thanks to my Aunt Kelly for sending almost a dozen Barbie's with a ton of clothes it worked out perfectly. For the boys we had Legos and Lincoln logs set up. After all the kids arrived we got to play a game similar to “hot potato”. The boys got to pass a ball around and who ever had the ball when the music stopped got to pick a gummy worm or a Spiderman sticker. The girls however got to pass nail polish around and in the end the girls got all their nails painted.
With help, I made this Barbie Box for the girls to stand in and have their picture taken as if they were Barbie. It was a pretty big hit with them!

Opening Ceremonies

A few days before Peyton’s birthday she received a large box in the mail and we decided to let her open it. It was from my Aunt Kelly and Uncle Clarence and boy did they do good! Since they couldn’t be here to see her reaction I took pictures and a video.
