Playing at the Park

It is so nice here right now. Today was perfect! It the 70's with a light breeze. We all went to the park this morning before lunch and naps. We took a little baseball set for Ashton and a blanket for Peyton and me.

Before our trip to the beach I got the kids sunglasses from the $1 store. They don't fit perfectly, but they do the job.

Ashton learning how to hit

Picking flowers
Peyton loves the swings. She gets pretty high too. Higher then Ashton : )

Ashton liked the big kid swings better then the baby swing.

I was so surprised that he actually kept his glasses on
More Peyton

All three of them on the swings
Taylor had to touch the tree and he did

Well Child Check up

We finally made it to the pediatrician yesterday. Ashton needed his 2 year check up which should have been 2 months ago and Peyton was going for her 9 month check up which should have been a month ago.

Here are the results for their percentiles

Ashton
75th Percentile for Height and Weight. (finally they match)
31 lbs and 35 inches

Peyton
50th percentile for height (27 3/4 inches)
10th percentile for weight 16 lbs 10 oz.

Peyton is very skinny, but nothing they are worried about. I was hoping she would be 20 pounds by 12 months, (2 months from now) so we could turn her car seat around, but I don't think she will gain 4 pounds in 2 months. Looks like she will be rear-facing for even longer now.

Ashton didn't need to get any shots, but Peyton was due for some. Just a few hours before her appointment she started running a fever and still had it at her appointment (100.6). Even thought it was a low fever it isn't recommended to inject viruses into a healthy body not one that is trying to fight something off. Needless to say, Peyton got out of getting vaccinated yesterday. She is feeling better today with no fever. Good thing she is too young to try and fake a fever or I would think she did it on purpose to get out of them.

The biggest slack award goes too....

....ME!

I can't believe it's been 2 months since I've blogged. Easter really? This will probably be a long post and out of order, but here it is none the less.

Mid May I and the kids drove to Arizona while Taylor stayed back to work. I wanted to have more then a week in Arizona and I am so glad I did. It was hard traveling with a two year old and almost 1 year old, but they were great and we made it. My total time in Arizona was almost 3 weeks. After a week we had planned for Taylor to fly down for the weekend and spend time with us and then go back. Taylor calls me early Friday morning just hours before his flight and tells me that he got laid off. Seriously?!?! We both couldn't believe it. Him and a few others all got the boot. Taylor still came down as planned and then went back and worked hard to find another job. More on that later.

We stayed with my sister in law Annedria and her husband. It was so much fun hanging out with them and watching them get ready for their first baby who was due at the end of June.

We got to play at the splash pads, pools, and we visited with lots of family and friends.

Now for pictures. These are not in any order. That just takes too much time in blogger.

Here is Ashton at one of the public pools. I still can't believe it cost us less then $4 for ALL of us to get in. They also have life vests for the kids, free too!
Of all the things for kids to do at this place Ashton liked walking along the water.

Back and forth, back and forth

We also spent a lot of time at the Johnson's. Shelley was helping Peyton play. She really enjoyed it too.

This was at a splash pad at the new San Tan Mall. It was perfect for my kids.

He was lovin' it!

Our original plan for our vacation that we planned prior to the lay off was to go to San Diego and since we had already paid for some of the trip we decided to still go. Instead of going to Sea World, we went to Sea Life. It's about 3o minutes north of San Diego and it was perfect for little kids. It was also only $5 for adults to get in and our kids are still free so really cheap.

It was hard to get good pictures inside the aquarium.

I thought this was a cute picture. My boys. They got to stick there head into the middle of a little tank of fish.

Another splash pad/park. Ashton going down a slide in his swimsuit.

Taylor and Peyton in the splash pad area. She is still too little when there are a bunch of big kids around.

Back to San Diego. I told you these wouldn't be in order.

I had this picture in my mind of a sunny day and fun in the sand and it was cold and windy. We didn't even stay 30 minutes. I was so disappointed.

I kept Peyton in my lap to keep her warm.

We also stopped by the San Diego Temple. It is a very pretty temple and the flowers everywhere where beautiful!

Most of these pictures below were taken at Laura and Mike Sullivan's house. They have a gorgeous backyard and pool.

Family photo ~ You can never get everyone looking at the same time

Ashton in his boat

Okay if you look really close you can see the clouds have a rainbow. In the middle you can see some pink/red then lower its green/blue. It was the strangest thing and I have no idea what caused it. If you do please tell me. It was really neat and much brighter then my camera shows. It looked similar to the northern lights.

Where did she learn how to pose?
Peyton cuddling with Grandpa Mike.

Kisses from mommy and grandma

Annedria and Scott came too.

I think she looks like her mommy

I think he looks like his daddy
Peyton was just too cute so we had to take pictures, but she decided to pout through all of them.

Pouting and still cute

Okay enough photos.

Taylor got an unofficial offer from T-mobile. They said they wanted to offer him the position, but he will have to wait for his background check and paperwork to get processed to get the written offer. We still don't know about pay or hours. One of the bummers is the training group doesn't start until July 13th which is so far away.

Also, if you caught on earlier about my sister laws due date WAS the end of June and wondering why it's not anymore that is because little Treyton Scott decided to come early as in this morning at 2:58am ( 3 1/2 weeks early). Weighing 5 lbs, 14 oz and 18 inches long. I am so proud of my sister in law. She had a home birth and did amazing. Mom and baby are doing fine. Treyton is in the hospital getting some extra oxygen and will hopefully be going home real soon.

I have the cutest nephew with the most perfect little face I have ever seen.
