Happy Birthday Ashton!

Yesterday was Ashton's 2nd birthday. I can't believe he is 2!!

On Saturday we went to the Children's Museum in Denver.

They had this room where you could make bubbles, but it was kind of messy and really meant for older kids. It would have been better if they had a bubble machine and bubbles were everywhere. That's what we thought the room was about.

Ashton loved this room. He is such an athlete like his daddy.

He got tired and sat out for a minute and then jumped back in.

They even had this spot for all the babies. It was a gigantic pillow with even more pillows on top with lots of stuffed animals and even mobiles. There were many other babies there too. Peyton loves stuffed animals.

Then this is what happened after the museum.

Here are some random pictures. We got snow the day before and the mountains looked so neat with all the snow on them.

We also got new car seats! Peyton is finally in her big girl car seat.

Here is Ashton in his. I didn't know this when I got Ashton's at a garage sale, but car seats expire and his expired almost right after we got bought. We got a great deal, but I wish I would have known.

Here is a shot of the backseat. Peyton is still rear facing until she is a year and 20 pounds. I hope she'll be 20 pounds when she turns 1 in 4 months. I think she needs to gain another 5 pounds. There also isn't a lot of room anymore in the backseat. The middle seat is pretty much gone.

That night we went out to eat at good old Denny's where kids eat free on Saturday night. Woohoo!

This was also the first time we've ever ordered Ashton his own meal. It was pretty nice not having to share.

Ashton is just growing up too fast. We actually put him in a booster for the first time and he did just fine. I was worried that he would try and get out of it and be jumping or running around, but he sat there like a big boy.

Then Peyton sat in a highchair for the first time at a restaurant.

My babies are growing up too fast.

Alright, time for the actual birthday.

Marianne made the cake and added his favorite, Cars!

Getting ready to blow out the candles

He loved this card. When you open it makes car sounds.

Then he got cars.

Ashton also got some really nice clothes.

Then Ashton got a tricycle. How exciting is that?? He loves it and is trying to figure how to peddle one foot at a time and then steer on top of that.

We got him this couch that turns into a bed. It has Lightning McQueen on it too.

He would go from the bed to the bike and then back to the bed.

Ashton figured out the frosting was the best part and started eating only that. Smart boy!

Guess who also got to eat cake. Yep, that would be Peyton. She loved it too.

For dinner we made a bunch of finger foods. We had chicken strips, fries and pizza rolls. We also had strawberries, grapes and cantaloupe. It was really good and most importantly Ashton really enjoyed it.

He is so big and looks so happy! When you go to Oregon you'll have to take him to OMSI, he'll love it.

Oh, I am so glad that Ashton had a great day. The childrens museum looks awesome. It makes me so sad to see all of our kids so big, but I love it all at the same time.

How fun! We got Gracie the Princess Couch last year for her 1st birthday and it's seriously THE BEST thing we've ever purchased for her! She uses it ALL THE TIME!
I can't believe how big he is - it makes me excited for Gracie's 2nd b'day!
Did you decide on a "big bed" yet?
