Friends, but more like cousins
(Megan, Ashlyn, Ashton, Peyton)

I took this to show that for the first time I could get all of Peyton's hair in a pony tail

They are so siblings, look at their feet
While in Arizona we went to the Mesa Temple's Visitor Center

Splashing just wasn't enough
While in Arizona, I had my birthday and my sister in law (Annedria) was wonderful and had a party for me. My best friend Shelley brought me cheesecake (my favorite). It was so nice to visit with family and friends that night. Thanks to everyone who came and made it special.

Back in Colorado just in time for Peyton's 2nd birthday!
We did something very simple. We went to the Spray Ground. It was free and Peyton loved it.
Princess Peyton
I can just see Peyton thinking and twirling her hair, "Why isn't the water on?"

And the fun begins...

Opening presents. She wasn't in the mood and threw a fit. So I didn't get any good pictures

Grass/weeds sure can grow pretty fast when your busy having a baby and traveling. Taylor had just started to cut the grass in our backyard.

On to Kipton

He is just so stinking cute.

He has strawberry blond/red hair with blue eyes

Denver Temple

More Kipton
On the 18th, the day before Marianne and Phil Guthrie left for their mission we all got together including Shaundra (Taylor's sister) and had a birthday party for all of us. Mine and Peyton's birthday had just passed, but Marianne, Taylor, Phil, and Shaundra all have birthdays coming up.

Kipton's Blessing

Today we blessed Kipton and it's pretty neat that we got to bless him on July 4th!

So I think our family pictures are quite comical. They never come out perfect.
Peyton would not let go of her cup so we had to take pictures with it.

This may be the second photo in this post, but we had taken a dozen already. As you can see Taylor and I are getting tired. Kipton too!

Alright, finally a good one!

It was nice to have Marianne and Phil join us for this special day!

(Kipton not happy)

Not sure what's going on with the lighting.
Kipton really isn't happy and what is Ashton doing to his nose?

This one makes me laugh every time! I'm just done taking pictures. All three of them are not cooperating and are not happy.

On to the stars solo photo shot!

Yes, we got a happy face!

The outfit Kipton is wearing is actually the outfit Taylor wore to be blessed in when he was a baby. It's very special and what makes it even more special is that Taylor's mom made it.

Aww, handsome little man

Kipton's Birth

Most of you know I started having contractions around 32 weeks. For me this was normal since I started labor early with Peyton as well. At my last appointment before Kipton's birthday I was 3cm along and I was about 39 weeks. On Sunday the 6th I was having back pain. Seemed like it only came when I moved so I didn't think too much about it. I went to bed that night not think much about it, but when it started to wake me up it made me wonder. Around 11:30 the great idea came to me, "Am I in labor?" Taylor came home at midnight from work and when he crawled into bed next to me I turned to him and said I think I'm in labor? We started watching tv and around 12:30am we started recording the contractions. After a couple being 4 minutes apart I decided to get into the shower, then I started packing my bag. My contractions then became 2 minutes apart and I said, "It's time to go!" We left about 1:20am and got to the hospital just before 2am. I was 6cm when we got there. I told my nurse with my last pregnancy I went from 7-10cm in one contraction to warn her my labors go pretty quickly. I was admitted right away without having to prove much or jump through many hoops. I was in my new room for about an hour. My contractions started to be right on top of each other never going away. Having contractions like that and back labor was more painful then I could have ever imagined. I remember saying I wanted the epidural, but they told me I was complete and it was time to push. The nurse hooked the belly bands back up to me to monitor the baby. Something I didn't want at the time, but was very grateful for afterwards. I gave a few weak pushes at first. I can remember thinking, just give me a break, one break from pain that was, but it never came. Then the doctor told me that Kipton's heart rate dropped and that I needed to get him out now. With that I gave it all I had and pushed that baby out. He started crying right away, but he was blue. Kipton had the cord wrapped around his neck, shoulder, and wrist and then had a knot in his cord. I guess once I started pushing that is when the cord got tight. Thanks to a quick doctor Kipton is just fine. He got a 8 out 9 on his APGAR score. Only lost 1 point for color. He quickly pinked up and was back in our arms.

I have to say, this labor was kind of traumatic for me. I remember afterwards and even a day after I couldn't remember certain things like, what Taylor did for work or my own birthday.

After being in true active labor for 3 hours Kipton Taylor Flint was born on June 7th, 2010 at 3:32 am. He weighed 7 lbs 9 oz and was 20 1/2 inches long. Brown hair, blue eyes.

Here he is still a little blue
