Random Picture Update

Hard to tell, but they are on our ottoman. Ashton put his couch up there and lied down and well most of you know the ottoman is Bella's bed so she wasn’t going to let Ashton have it all to himself.

It didn’t work out too well so they are back in their separate rooms. Maybe this winter when it gets dark earlier. They just played and played and made lots of noise.

Last weekend I watch our nephews, Trey and Cooper. It’s so fun to watch the 4 of them playing with the Legos together.

I can’t believe my baby is 1! He isn’t walking yet, but can pull himself up on anything and can walk along all the furniture. Just a matter of time now.

He can say Momma, Ut (for ut oh) Hi, and Bye.

He can wave and clap

Give kisses

He is smart too. If you ask him where the the ball is he will go and find it and pick it up to show you. He uses his pointer finger to when discovering objects.

For his 13 month check up he was 19.4 lbs and 30in. Finally up to the 5th % for weight and 50th % for height. He’s our frog. All arms and legs!

Swim Lesson Week 4

Kipton has made huge progress in the water. It’s been a lot of fun taking them all. This session of swim lessons are over and just one session left before Ashton and Peyton go to preschool in August. The last session is two weeks long so hopefully two more videos to come.

Swim Lessons Part 2

Kipton has improved a lot. As far as Ashton and Peyton it's hard to tell. They have new instructors and they are still trying to determine where each kid is at in their skill level.

Fire Station

Annedria, my sister-in-law found out the fire station by her house was hosting an event today and she invited us. Unfortunately Taylor had to work so it was just the kids and me. As the four of us were walking up the driveway to the fire station Peyton fell and scrapped her elbow and knee which was bleeding. My first thought was that we were at the right place! I walked up to the first fireman I saw and told him what happened and we got ushered in the back door. We got to sit next to the big fire trucks while they cleaned Peyton’s knee and gave her a Band-Aid. Then they took Ashton and Peyton to look inside the truck. The fire-woman turned on the lights of the fire truck too. It was kind of like we got VIP treatment. They were doing large group tours around the station and we got to go on our own. We met up with Annedria and her family and started our tour together. As we went more people joined in. We got to see where they slept, the famous “poll” and they even had a slide. They had a gourmet kitchen. Actually two kitchens. A large gym and a Day Room which was more like a media/conference room with nice recliners laid out in a theater style downward slope. After that we got to see the trucks. Sit inside, look at all the gear and tools. They were even going to let Ashton try on some, but he was being too shy.

Sitting in the truck

I don't know who this boy is next to Peyton. He kept getting closer and closer to her. I think he wanted to be in the picture.

The Poll. They actually had two.

After the tour we sat down for breakfast. They had pancakes and fruit bowls and Chick Fil A also brought sandwiches. We all had a great time and I'm so glad we got to go!

Swim Lessons part 1

We signed up all 3 kids in swim lessons this summer. Ashton and Peyton are in a class together and Kipton and I are in the mommy and me class. Our kids are not use to the water. They've been in a pool all of a handful of times. It has taken them some time to get use to it. Ashton got use it first, but still struggles. The water is deep and he can't touch and floating on his back is a bit scary too. Peyton...well you'll hear Peyton. She does it all, but cries the whole time. This video was taken yesterday. Today however she did much better. Just whined the whole time. Kipton hates the water, but always has even for baths. Today was the first day he's made even the slightest progress, but it is progress.
Contrary to what you might hear, no kids were harmed in the making of this video.

The kids are signed up for a total of 6 weeks of swim lessons. This being the first week. Taylor and I are both really excited for them and are looking forward to watching them grow.

Where a kid can be a kid

Yep, good old Chuck E Cheese!
Last week sometime we went out to dinner which went really smoothly since the kids knew they needed to be really good if they wanted to go to CEC. Gotta love bribery

Ashton got on this ride, put in a token and was having fun and then looked over and said, "Hey, there's a mouse!"

Yeah, can never get them both looking at me or ever really
